The South Australian Fishermans Co-Operative Limited (S.A.F.C.O.L.) was founded in 1945 by a group of South Australian fisherman. Today Safcol is a major world supplier of fresh, packaged & frozen seafood.
Safcol is the only Australian seafood company controlling catch from ship to shelf. Wild tuna catch certified “Dolphin Safe” by Earth Island Institute.
New buildings were designed to accommodate a large solar PV system. A 450kW solar system using SunPower P-Series panels comfortable fitted in the allocated roof area. As well as the large solar system, power factor correction was also installed at the site.
